The Lex Valk Trio

The Lex Valk Trio has been formed to fill the demand for an experienced and knowledgeable group that can play a variety of styles, from easy listening jazz to light pop music, as background music at a party or social function, or as a featured group presenting a musical theme. Singers and horn players can be added as required for the occasion. The core group of piano, bass and drums features:


Tom Borling
Piano
Tom has taught at St. Thomas and freelanced in Houston for over twenty years. Tom is leader of his own concert jazz band, The Tom Borling BeBop Band.

Ben Atkinson  
Drums   
Ben has led his own showband and freelanced in  
Houston for the past two decades, working with  
such well-known Houston bandleaders as Buddy Brock, 
Ed Gerlach, and David Caceres.
